My name is Shannon and I’m happy you have stopped by to get to know my work. I started writing mainly for fun and entertainment as a Peace Corps volunteer from 2007-2009. While living in Tonga, South Pacific, writing was a much-needed outlet that also provided a means to share my experiences with family and friends. Writing is now a career.

I have spent the last decade in Wilmington as a writer and editor at various publications, including encore magazine. You can read some of my most recent work on the home page. I am also a part-time instructor at UNC-Wilmington. Check out my CV for course lists and higher ed projects.
